How to grow flamingo flowers

How to grow flamingo flowers

1. Soil Preparation

It is best to use soil that is nutritious, loose and well-drained. You can prepare it at home using leaf mold, peat soil, perlite, and coarse sand. You also need to add a small amount of bone meal to supplement nutrition.

2. Suitable for sunlight

It is suitable for growing in semi-shade and cannot accept strong light. It can be placed in a bright place indoors. It should be exposed to sunlight appropriately in spring and autumn, and avoid sunlight in summer. In winter, because the intensity of sunlight is reduced, it can be exposed to more sunlight and the sunshine time can be increased so that it can thrive and bloom normally.

3. Application of water and fertilizer

It grows well in a humid environment. In addition to ensuring sufficient water during the growth period, the humidity should also be maintained by spraying water mist on the leaves. Do not water too much at one time, otherwise the soil in the pot will be too wet and will cause root rot. A large amount of fertilizer is needed during the growth stage. Fertilizer should be applied once every half a month. Organic liquid fertilizer can be used, and phosphorus and potassium fertilizers should be applied before flowering.

4. Temperature control

The temperature range for its growth is 20-25℃. It cannot tolerate the cold and will suffer frost damage below 15℃. Please keep warm in winter.

5. Ventilation conditions

Pay attention to ventilation to ensure normal air circulation and prevent pests and diseases. If pests and diseases are found, they can be killed by spraying pesticides.
