Why chrysanthemums don't bloom, how to make them bloom faster

Why chrysanthemums don't bloom, how to make them bloom faster

1. Flowering season has not yet arrived

Reason: There are many varieties of chrysanthemums, and some varieties bloom later. The reason they don’t bloom may be that their flowering period has not yet arrived.

Solution: There is no need to worry about this situation. Determine the variety of chrysanthemum, take good care of it and wait for it to bloom.

2. Unsuitable light exposure

Reason: Chrysanthemums need sunlight to synthesize nutrients and promote flowering. If they are not exposed to sunlight, they will not be able to grow flower buds and will find it difficult to bloom. It is a short-day flower, and too much light will affect its flowering.

Solution: Make sure to get enough sunlight during growth and do not place it in a place without sunlight. During the flower bud differentiation period, control the sunlight and allow reasonable exposure to light but not more than 12 hours.

3. Too much watering

Reason: An appropriate amount of water is needed during growth. If there is a lack of water or too much water, it will also affect flowering.

Solution: Control watering normally, and water the plants when they need water, but the amount of water should not be too much. Once too much water is applied, it needs to be drained out as soon as possible.

4. Improper fertilization

Reason: If fertilizer is not applied according to demand, the plant will lack nutrients and naturally cannot bloom. Or improper fertilization, too much nitrogen fertilizer and lack of other fertilizers can also cause the plant to not bloom.

Solution: Apply fertilizers reasonably during growth and maintenance, apply nitrogen fertilizer during the rapid growth period, and add more phosphorus and potassium before flowering.

5. No pruning

Reason: If the flowers are not pruned for a long time, they will lack nutrients and will have difficulty blooming.

Solution: Pay attention to pruning regularly and remove useless branches and leaves immediately when you find them.
