How many years does it take for grape cuttings to bear fruit? What are the later management of cuttings?

1. How many years will it take to bear fruit

It is relatively easy for it to bloom compared to other fruit trees. It usually takes about three years from cuttings to fruiting. If the cuttings are managed regularly, they will bear fruit in two years. However, in the early stage of flowering, the amount of fruit is relatively small. It takes a few years of care to accumulate enough nutrients before entering the peak fruit-bearing period. In addition, post-transplantation management is also very important to ensure vigorous growth so that the tree can bloom naturally.

2. Management after insertion

1. Watering: After rooting, you should pay attention to humidity management. Water frequently during the growing season. The soil should be kept moist so that the seedlings can absorb enough water and grow better. But be careful about the amount of water you water each time, not too much. The root system is weak and cannot tolerate waterlogging, otherwise the roots will easily rot. If there are consecutive rainy days, you need to ventilate more and drain the water in time.

2. Light: As soon as the seedlings grow roots, you need to increase the light exposure. Let them get more sun during the growing season, and they can get full-day sun in spring and autumn. However, it is necessary to block the strong sunlight in the summer and avoid exposing it to the scorching sun, as this may easily burn the leaves.

3. Fertilization: When you find tendrils growing on the seedlings, you should start fertilizing, and apply thin fertilizer frequently. The approximate frequency is once every half a month, and it should be applied seven or eight times in a year. Urea can be used as fertilizer. The concentration should be low in the initial stage. When the seedlings grow vigorously in the later stage, the concentration can be increased. Be careful not to use too much to avoid burning the roots.
