How to grow roots of Clivia seedlings and how to make them grow fast

1. Soil

To grow Clivia seedlings, you need a breathable substrate. The flower soil should not be too compacted. You can mix leaf mold, garden soil and rice husk ash. If there are impurities, insect eggs or pathogens in the soil, it must be disinfected before planting the seedlings to avoid affecting its growth in the later stage.

2. Ventilation

When the plant is still in the seedling stage, it must not be placed in a well-ventilated place in the house. Not only will it hinder its growth, it may also cause diseases and insect pests. Therefore, you can move indoors when the weather is good, or you can open the doors and windows frequently to get some fresh air.

3. Sunlight

Clivia has low requirements for light, especially when it is a young seedling, it cannot be exposed to strong light. Try to place it in an environment with diffuse light. A good sunlight environment will help it grow new leaves better.

4. Hydration

Ensuring that the flower soil is moist is a prerequisite for the growth of the root system of the plant seedlings. If the soil is always dry, the roots will not take root. Water the plants promptly to keep the soil relatively moist but without any accumulation of water.

5. Temperature

During the maintenance process, the temperature should be adjusted between 15-30℃. In order to grow in a suitable environment, both the roots and leaves will grow faster. When the temperature is too high, you need to cool down reasonably. In winter, you should keep warm and avoid being blown by cold wind.
