How to propagate and cultivate sunflowers? How to propagate sunflowers without inoculation?

1. Breeding Methods

1. Sowing: Sowing is a commonly used method of reproduction. The method is simple and the survival rate is high. It is usually done in spring. Prepare soil with strong drainage properties, and turn the soil in advance for ground planting to ensure it is loose. After preparation, you can evenly sprinkle the seeds on it, then cover it with a thin layer of soil and water it to make it moist. In the later stage, control the temperature and keep moisturizing, and it will germinate in about 10 days.

2. Cuttings: Cuttings are usually carried out between early May and August, and the tops of young stems are selected as cuttings. The soil must be permeable, loose and fertile. After processing, use chopsticks or a wooden stick to poke a hole in the soil surface, and then put the cuttings in. Be careful not to dig too deep, 2 centimeters into the soil is enough. After planting, water thoroughly and place in a ventilated place. As long as the humidity is guaranteed, it will generally survive in about 10-15 days.

2. Cultivation Methods

It has strong adaptability and is easy to cultivate. Normally, a certain humidity should be maintained, and water should be applied when the soil is dry or wet during the growing period. It is drought tolerant, so water it on a dry basis rather than wet. Apply a small amount of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers in the early stage of flowering. This will extend the flowering period, make the flowers larger, and make the colors brighter. In addition, be sure to get more sunlight and do not keep it in the shade for a long time, otherwise it will affect flowering.

3. How to reproduce without inoculation

There are many varieties of it, some of which cannot produce seeds. If not inoculated, it can be propagated by cuttings. The method is very simple and can also guarantee the survival rate. However, you must pay attention to the time when taking cuttings. It is best to do it in spring and summer. If the climate in the other two seasons is not suitable, it will affect survival.
