Cultivation methods and precautions of the lucky tree

Cultivation methods and precautions of the lucky tree

1. Ventilation

When raising a lucky tree at home, you must pay attention to the ventilation of the maintenance environment, otherwise the lucky tree will lose its leaves. In spring, summer and autumn, the potted plants can be moved outdoors. In winter, when the temperature is low, they can be maintained indoors, and the windows can be opened for ventilation when the temperature is high at noon.

2. Lighting

The lucky tree likes sunshine and will easily shed its leaves if there is insufficient light, but it cannot be exposed to direct sunlight. It still needs to be shaded from the scorching sun in summer. The light in winter is warm and soft, so it must be exposed to full sunlight to promote photosynthesis of the plant and accumulate nutrients.

3. Temperature

The most suitable growth temperature for the lucky tree is 20-30℃. In winter, the maintenance temperature should be kept above 8℃ to avoid frostbite and leaf loss. If the maintenance temperature is low, water should be controlled appropriately.

4. Watering

When watering the lucky tree, you can insert a bamboo stick beside the pot, pull it out and check it when you have nothing to do. If the bamboo stick is dry, water it thoroughly. Water it at noon in winter and in the morning and evening in summer. In well-ventilated conditions, you can spray water on the leaves of the plant frequently to increase humidity.

5. Fertilization

During the growing season of the plant, you can apply balanced nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer once every month. If the temperature is higher than 32℃ or lower than 12℃, stop fertilizing to prevent fertilizer damage to the lucky tree.

6. Pests and diseases

The lucky tree is easily infected with leaf spot disease. When the disease occurs, remove the diseased leaves and spray carbendazim for prevention and control. In addition, the lucky tree is also prone to scale insects. When the infestation is light, use a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to wipe the insects off. When the infestation is heavy, spray scale insecticide for prevention and control.
