Why do bamboo leaves turn yellow? How to remedy it

Why do bamboo leaves turn yellow? How to remedy it

1. Poor ventilation

Reason: The bamboo's growing environment has poor ventilation, or the distance between the plants is too close, which will reduce the efficiency of bamboo leaves' photosynthesis and cause the leaves to turn yellow.

Remedy: The growing environment should be ventilated as much as possible. If it is a potted plant, it should be moved to the window as soon as possible to allow it to receive adequate light and ventilation. If the growth is dense, appropriate thinning is necessary.

2. Excessive water

Reason: If it is allowed to grow in an environment with too much water, the roots of the plant will not be able to breathe normally due to the accumulation of water. After the roots rot, the leaves will naturally turn yellow.

Remedial method: The moisture in the soil needs to be drained as soon as possible. Potted plants need to be placed in a ventilated place, and the soil can be loosened appropriately to speed up the evaporation of moisture. The amount of water should be controlled at normal times, and water it only when its leaves bend.

3. Pest Invasion

Reason: When red spider mites appear on the plant, the insects will eat away the chlorophyll in the leaves. At first there will be small spots, and gradually the entire leaf will turn yellow.

Remedy: When you find red spider mites on the leaves, you should brush them off as soon as possible. If there are a large number of them, spray them with medicine for treatment. You should observe the condition of the leaves more often on a daily basis and take timely measures to prevent and control the disease.
