Causes and treatments of yellow leaves of Gypsophila paniculata

Causes and treatments of yellow leaves of Gypsophila paniculata

1. Strong light exposure

1. Reason: If the sunlight is too strong during the high temperature period in summer and shines on the stems and leaves of baby's breath for a long time, it will cause it to enter a semi-dormant state, and the leaves will turn yellow and fall off prematurely.

2. Treatment method: Pay attention to heat protection. You can move the potted plants indoors or into a greenhouse to avoid long-term direct exposure to strong sunlight. The yellowing leaves should be cut off immediately.

2. Improper watering

1. Reason: Watering too frequently or suffering from long-term drought may cause its roots to be unable to absorb enough water for growth from the soil, resulting in yellow leaves.

2. Treatment method: When watering the surface soil, it should be watered thoroughly. Normally, just wait until the soil is dry before watering. Just cut off the yellow leaves and transplant them into soft and moist new soil and take good care of them and they will recover as before.

3. Problems with the medications and equipment used

1. Reason: When some flower lovers apply or spray insecticides, pesticides, and foliar fertilizers on roses, the tubes containing pesticides have been sprayed with herbicides before and are not cleaned, resulting in yellow leaves and death of baby's breath due to the residual herbicide.

2. Treatment method: The dead leaves should be cleaned up immediately. For those with serious symptoms, transplantation and root irrigation should be adopted. For those with mild symptoms, careful care should be taken after transplantation.
