Heart rot and root rot

If the base of the leaf tube gradually becomes soft or even rots, it is most likely heart rot. There will also be a foul smell in the air. If you take out the leaves or leaf tubes at this time, they will soon fall down on their own. In the case of root rot, the entire root tip will slowly rot, and the lateral roots will no longer grow. Therefore, if you find that the plant's ability to absorb water and fertilizer is too poor and the plant grows slowly, root rot may have occurred.

In addition to paying attention to watering, you also need to use specific agents to prevent them from getting sick when the temperature is high. Once a month for three months is enough.

Yellow and withered leaves

If the air quality is not up to standard, it may cause their leaves to change color. Not only this reason, but applying fertilizer too concentratedly or too often can also have this consequence. This plant is very cold-intolerant and will suffer frost damage if the temperature is not above 5℃ in winter. If the frost damage is severe, it may die directly.

Pests

Scale insects

These little insects are very common pests. Although they are small, they are very lethal. After they suck the juice from the leaves, spots will appear on the leaves. Do not ignore these wounds, because the mucus on the wounds will adhere to the leaves for a long time and cause black mold. If this type of insect appears, the best time to prevent and control it is when the insects have not yet thickened. At this time, you can just spray it with special agents for preventing and controlling them.

Red Spider

This disease and insect pest is also very common. It is difficult to see with the naked eye, but you can still see the little red dots. But don't underestimate them. This pest multiplies very quickly, especially in the drier seasons. If you find them, you must deal with the situation immediately. You can just choose a special insecticide for this.
