What to do if the leaves of bougainvillea wilt

What to do if the leaves of bougainvillea wilt

1. Lighting

We all know that it is a positive flower and is very fond of light and sunshine. Even in summer it is not afraid of being exposed to the sun, but will grow better. Therefore, the stronger the light, the better. If the light is insufficient or too weak, the plant will not grow well, and the leaves will become lifeless. In severe cases, it will also affect the plant's future flowering. So if you want to keep it well, it is best to place it in a place where it can be directly exposed to sunlight, and the time it enjoys the light should not be less than 8 hours, so that its leaves can grow better.

2. Temperature

It usually likes warm places and cannot tolerate cold very well, so in winter the temperature must be controlled and not too low, otherwise it will easily suffer frost damage. Once it happens, it will first affect its leaves, causing them to wilt. Generally, the most suitable temperature for its growth is between 15 and 30 degrees. The minimum temperature for wintering should not be lower than 13 degrees to protect its leaves.

3. Watering

You should also be careful when watering it. Don't water it when the soil in the pot is not dry. If you water it too much or too little, its leaves will wilt, so you must control the amount and frequency of watering.

4. Fertilizer

When fertilizing it, if you apply too much fertilizer, or choose the wrong fertilizer, it will easily burn its roots, which will cause the entire plant to wither, not to mention the leaves, which will definitely begin to wilt. The roots are the most important nutrient supply point for a plant. Once there is a problem, nutrients cannot be transmitted normally, which will affect the plant's nutrient absorption. So you must pay attention when fertilizing. If it's too much, we can water it with water, so that the fertilizer can be diluted accordingly.
