Why does Milan drop its leaves?

1. Insufficient light

Milan is a strong sun-loving plant and needs to be exposed to sunlight for about 10 hours a day. If the lighting time is too short or the maintenance environment is dark, especially if it is moved from a bright and well-lit cultivation environment to a dark environment, it will experience a large amount of leaf fall.

2. Improper water management

Long-term drought or waterlogging in the potting soil will cause root rot and leaf fall. In particular, the plant will look relatively normal on the outside, but a large number of leaves will fall when touched.

3. Improper fertilization

Milan is relatively fond of fertilizer and has a strong tolerance to fertilizer. Slightly larger or slightly more fertilizer will not have much impact on it. However, when uncomposted fertilizer enters the potting soil, it may generate heat during the fermentation process, causing root burn and leaf fall.

4. The temperature is too low

If the temperature drops below 0°C during maintenance and lasts for a long time, frost damage will occur, which will manifest as yellowing and falling leaves. When leaf fall occurs, we need to analyze which of the above 5 conditions have not been met during the recent maintenance process, and make targeted adjustments to restore normal growth.
