Why the lotus does not bloom?

Why the lotus does not bloom?

1. Insufficient light

1. Reason: Lotus is a sun-loving plant. If there is not enough light and it does not get enough sunlight, it will not photosynthesize with the sun and will not bloom.

2. Solution: Make sure the lotus has sufficient light. If it is grown indoors, place it where the sun can shine on it. If it is grown outdoors, do not let it be shaded and must be grown in the sun.

2. Too high density

1. Reason: Lotus has a particularly high demand for nutrients during its flowering and growth periods. If the density of lotus planting is too high, nutrients will not be supplied and it will not bloom.

2. Solution: The lotus needs to be pruned in time, and the excess and poorly developed lotus should be cut off to make the nutrients more concentrated and leave room for the healthy lotus to grow. If it is a potted lotus, it is best to grow one plant in one pot.

3. Inappropriate cultivation depth

1. Reason: During the cultivation of lotus, if it is planted too deep, it will affect the root system's absorption of nutrients and the branches and leaves will be malnourished; if it is planted too shallowly, the roots of the lotus will not be firmly rooted and will also affect its growth. In both of the above situations, the flowers will not bloom.

2. Solution: First, you need to determine whether the lotus is a small plant variety or a large plant variety. If it is a small plant variety, the planting depth can be 20 cm. If it is a large plant variety, it needs to be above 30 cm.
