Monstera leaves become soft and droopy, here's a trick to fix it

Monstera leaves become soft and droopy, here's a trick to fix it

1. Replace the potting soil

Reason: The flowerpot used for growing Monstera cannot be too small. As the plant continues to grow, the flowerpot used will become smaller. If the plant is in a smaller growing space, its growth will be hindered, the roots will grow poorly, and the leaves will become soft and droop.

Solution: You need to replace the flowerpot with a relatively larger one in time to provide the plant with a larger growth space. After the roots can stretch freely, they will absorb nutrients and water better, and the leaves will recover.

2. Rehydrate

Reason: Do not water it too little during the maintenance period. If it is in a state of lack of water, the leaves will become very listless and will become soft and drooping due to dehydration.

Solution: You should water it. At the beginning, you can water it less. It is best to increase the amount of water slowly to prevent the plant from being unable to absorb the water and causing root rot.

3. Prune rotten roots

Reason: If you water or fertilize it too much, the roots of the Monstera will be damaged and may even rot. Once the roots rot, the growth will deteriorate and the leaves are likely to droop.

Solution: Remove the plant from the pot as soon as possible, check the root growth, and then cut off the rotten parts. After pruning the roots, it is best to disinfect before potting.
