What to do if the leaves of the tiger plant curl up

What to do if the leaves of the tiger plant curl up

1. Block out strong light

Reason: It cannot be exposed to strong sunlight during its growth period. If there is no shade in the summer noon, the leaves will begin to curl after being exposed to direct hot sunlight.

Solution: Take shading measures, or move it to a slightly cooler place where it only needs 4.5 hours of sunlight a day. When growing indoors, move it away from the south balcony during summer noon and open the windows more often.

2. Replace new soil

Reason: The cultivation soil cannot be too airtight. If the soil is not turned over for a long time, it will become very hard and airtight. The roots of the plant cannot absorb nutrients normally, which will cause the leaves to curl.

Solution: The best and easiest way is to change the soil. You need to replace the soil with one that is more breathable for the plant. If there is no new soil, you can also turn the soil regularly to increase air permeability.

3. Rehydrate as soon as possible

Reason: The plant has a certain degree of drought resistance, but you can't always forget to water it. When the plant cannot absorb water, its leaves will become curled and soft.

Solution: Do a good job of watering to keep the soil slightly moist. It should not be too dry, and it must not be cracked. When the climate is dry, you should spray more water and the air humidity should be high enough.
