What to do if the green radish wilts in winter

What to do if the green radish wilts in winter

1. Increase the temperature

Reason: The temperature is too low, which can easily cause the green radish to be frostbitten, and the leaves will wilt after being frozen.

Solution: Move the pothos to a warmer location indoors. The temperature needs to be maintained at around 10-15℃. If the indoor temperature is not high enough, you can put a plastic bag on the top of the plant to keep it warm. Don't place it under a heater or air conditioner, as high temperatures will also be detrimental to it.

2. Increase Lighting

Reason: The short daylight hours in winter can easily cause the leaves of the green radish to wilt.

Solution: Place the green radish in a sunny place and allow it to receive long-term sunlight. Winter sunlight will not burn it, so there is no need to shade it. If the temperature is low, it is recommended to expose it to sunlight in the afternoon and move it indoors in time before dusk.

3. Reduce watering

Reason: In winter, the water requirement of green radish is not high. In addition, cold water can also freeze the roots and cause them to wilt.

Solution: Water in winter when the soil is dry. If it is tap water, you need to let it sit indoors for a few days to allow the chlorine in it to dissipate, and then use it when the temperature is close to room temperature. If you water too much, drain the water in time and replace it with some dry new soil.

4. Improve ventilation

Reason: Poor indoor ventilation can easily lead to reduced air quality, lack of oxygen, and difficulty in breathing for leaves.

Solution: Open the windows moderately for ventilation. If the air outside is too cold, you can get some fresh air in the afternoon sun.
