The Flower Language of Wild Rose

Legends

Before introducing the flower language of this plant, let me first introduce a folk legend, which is closely related to one of its flower languages.

According to legend, there lived a family at the foot of a mountain. There was a girl who depended on her mother for survival. She and a young neighbor were childhood sweethearts. They fell in love with each other and secretly decided to spend their lives together. However, one year the emperor issued an order to select women to enter the palace, and finally chose this girl. The officials forced her to go to the palace, but her mother begged her and was given a few days' grace. The villagers suggested that the couple hide in the mountains, and if the emperor asked about them, they could just say they died of illness. However, someone secretly informed the government, and the soldiers chased the two men closely. In order not to implicate her lover, the girl jumped off the cliff. However, how could the young man survive alone in the world, so he jumped down as well. The officers and soldiers only found two bodies. After transporting them back to the imperial capital, the emperor was very angry and ordered people to burn the two bodies, but they were intact. He ordered the people around him to chop with knives, but it didn't work. The people whispered to each other, thinking that the emperor was unjust. The emperor had no choice but to bury the two together. After that, a beautiful flower grew on their graves. According to legend, this was the first wild rose.

The flower language of this plant

There are many theories about the language of its flower. Some say it means "longing for love", which is taken from the legend above. There are also statements that are not related to the legend, such as "romance". It is said that it is because it has a romantic temperament that it has such a special flower language. Of course, there is another way of saying it, which is "repentance", regretting the good feelings that have been lost and reminiscing about the happy times that have passed.
