Cyclamen propagation methods and precautions, the main methods of propagation

1. Breeding Methods

1. Seeding method: The most commonly used method of reproduction is sowing method. When sowing, soak the seeds first. Just put them directly in cold water for 24 hours, which will help them germinate better. After soaking, wash it clean, wrap it in wet gauze to germinate, and it will germinate successfully in two days. When planting, just sprinkle the seeds directly on the soil surface, cover with a thin layer of soil, and they will germinate in a month.

2. Tuber division method: This propagation method should be carried out in late August. After removing from the pot, wash the tubers with clean water and then divide them into several tubers with buds. Apply wood ash on the wound and let it dry. After treatment, plant it in the soil, pay attention to the subsequent moisturizing treatment, and it will resume growth in about 20-30 days.

3. Tissue culture method: When using this method for reproduction, you need to choose healthy parts as explants, prepare the culture medium and do subsequent maintenance work, so that roots will grow soon and you can directly transplant and maintain them.

2. Precautions for reproduction

No matter which method you use when propagating cyclamen, you must pay attention to the later management and provide a suitable environment. After planting, don't rush to expose the plants to the sun to avoid sunburn. Pay attention to the temperature as well. It should not fluctuate suddenly. A relatively warm environment should be provided. The soil just needs to be slightly moist. Don't water too much. Waterlogging will hinder growth and affect survival.
