Epiphytic orchids are species that grow on tree trunks or rocks, such as Cattleya orchid, Dendrobium orchid, Phalaenopsis orchid, Vanda orchid, etc. Terrestrial orchids are plants that grow in soil rich in organic matter, such as the cymbidium, aspidistra, and paphiopedilum.
