What are the ways to reproduce peach blossoms?

Peach cutting propagation

Use hard branch cuttings in spring and soft branch cuttings in summer.

The cuttings must grow strong and full.

The time for hardwood cuttings is mainly in spring. The cuttings are cut obliquely at about 20 cm. To prevent disease infection and promote rooting, it is best to use 600-1,200 times dilution of 50% carbendazim and 750-4500 mg/L of indolebutyric acid at the lower end of the cuttings for quick dipping for cuttings. The spacing between rows and plants is 4cm×30cm, and the cutting depth should be 2/3 of the length of the cuttings.

Peach blossom grafting propagation

The propagation rootstocks are mostly wild peach or peach seedlings, and the survival rates of branch grafting and bud grafting are both high.

Branch grafting: It is carried out in March when the buds have begun to sprout. Cutting grafting is commonly used, and it is better to use one or two year old seedlings as rootstock.

Bud grafting: carried out in July and August, mostly using the "丁" shape grafting. It is better to use one-year-old, full-grown seedlings as the rootstock.

Peach blossom propagation

The peach flowering period is from March to April, and the fruit ripening period is from June to August.

Harvest the ripe fruits, pile them up and mash them, remove the pulp, dry them, collect the pure seedling seeds and sow them in autumn.

Before sowing, soak the seeds for 5-7 days. Those sown in autumn will germinate early the following year, have a high germination rate, and grow rapidly and strongly. For sowing in the following spring, the seedlings need to be stored in wet sand for more than 120 days. Use row sowing with a width of 10 cm and a depth of 1-2 cm. Cover with 6 cm of soil after sowing. When the seedlings are 3 cm tall, thin them out and transplant them, with a spacing of 20-25 cm between plants.
