The breeding methods and precautions of Wengzhu

How to cultivate Wengzhu

Temperature and light

The Wengzhu plant likes a warm and sunny growing environment. It has strong adaptability and is resistant to cold and high temperatures. During the growth process, it likes strong light. When growing the citron, you can place it in a sunny place indoors, require ventilation, and do not grow it in the open air. In summer, the plant can withstand temperatures as high as 40°C. The winter temperature for overwintering should not be lower than 5°C, and it should be exposed to more sunlight.

Watering and fertilizing

When caring for the Wengzhu plant, water it moderately to keep the soil in the pot moist, but not too wet, especially in summer and winter. Water less in winter, shade the newly potted plants and water them sparingly. The Wengzhu does not need to be fertilized frequently. Apply some fertilizer during the growing season, and stop fertilizing in the hot summer and cold winter.

Reproduction method

The Wengzhu is generally propagated by sowing, which is done in spring. It can also be done by cuttings or grafting, which is relatively quick.

Things to note when breeding Wengzhu

Repotting and soil changing

When cultivating the plant, it is necessary to change the pot and soil. The potting should be changed in spring or summer. Before changing the pot, the plant needs to be washed with soapy water. When changing the soil, you can choose sandy soil with good drainage. You can make it with coarse sand, broken bricks and leaf mold.

Pests and diseases

During the breeding process, the woody plant sometimes develops leaf spot and anthracnose, which require spraying with pesticides for treatment. In addition, there will be whiteflies and red spiders, which must be sprayed and killed in time.

White hair fade

There are white hairs on the pillars, and sometimes, these white hairs will change color and turn brown. The reason may be dust on the fur, which can be cleaned, but it may also be that the fur color becomes darker as the cat grows, which cannot be changed.
