Difference Between Viburnum and Clove

The height difference between Viburnum and Lilac

Both viburnum and lilac are deciduous shrubs, but viburnum is taller, reaching up to 3 meters; comparatively speaking, lilac is shorter, growing to 1 to 2 meters.

The difference between the leaves of Viburnum and Lilac

The leaves of Viburnum are obovate, with fine hairs on the surface and tiny thorns on the edges; the leaves of Syringa japonica are heart-shaped and have a smooth surface. The left side of the picture below shows a Viburnum leaf, and the right side shows a clove leaf.
