Roses can also be transplanted in summer, but the time for transplanting should be chosen in the morning, evening or on a cloudy day.

Precautions for off-season transplanting of roses

Before transplanting roses, water them thoroughly so that they are easier to dig. When transplanting, trim the rose, keep 3/4 of the branches, and cut off the rest, and control the height to about 20cm. Be careful to make sure the cuts are smooth when pruning, and it is best not to leave flower buds.

In the morning, take out the rose plants and try to keep the soil with them. The soil should be ball-shaped.

When transplanting, the depth should be consistent with the original depth. Water once immediately after planting, and then water once in the evening of the second day and the morning of the fifth day. You can then water normally.

Maintenance of rose transplanting

Roses are usually transplanted out of season in the summer. If you need to water them at this time, you should water them on time for the first three times. After that, watering should be determined according to the weather. Water more during droughts and less during cloudy days. Especially for roses transplanted in summer, water should be sprayed frequently to maintain humidity.

Secondly, you need to shade the rose plants. The sunlight is very strong at this time, and timely shade will make it easier for them to survive. It is also very important to prevent and control diseases and pests. Diseases and pests are prone to break out in summer, and transplanted roses generally have poor root systems, making them more susceptible to diseases and pests.

Another point is pruning. After transplanting, the rose should not have flower buds, because the rose is in the process of seedling growth at this time. Flowering will only consume a large amount of nutrients, which is not conducive to its survival.
