1. Soil

This plant likes fertile soil and requires good drainage, so sandy soil is the best choice. Since this plant likes to climb, a trellis should be built for it during the cultivation process. In two years, it will grow lush and beautiful. It can also be planted as a hedge. Due to the habits of the yellow cicada, the soil should be kept moist at all times and not allowed to dry out, which would harm the plants.

2. Humidity

For the survival of this plant, the relative humidity of the air must reach 75-85%. During normal maintenance, you should spray the leaves with water mist every once in a while to maintain a reasonable air humidity. The water mist should keep the leaves of the yellow candy plant moist, without condensing into water droplets or flowing down in streams, 3-5 times a day. When it is sunny and the temperature is high, the frequency should be increased as the temperature rises. When it is cloudy or the temperature is low, it should be reduced appropriately.

3. Rizhao

This plant cannot live without sunlight, because only with sufficient light can the plant have enough nutrients to ensure growth. In summer, the plants can be placed outdoors for cultivation and the frequency of watering can be increased. In winter, they should be moved indoors and placed in direct sunlight. If the plant is taking root or has just been transplanted, it needs to be properly shaded to prevent excessive water loss.

4. Fertilization

This plant grows very fast, so it has relatively high requirements for fertilizer. In addition to base fertilizer, fertilizer should be supplemented on time. When the plants are still seedlings, you should use more fertilizers containing phosphorus and potassium, once every month. In spring, liquid fertilizer should be used every two weeks. In the rainy season, it should be changed to a more suitable fertilizer. Generally, medium-sized plants require 50-100g, which should be mixed evenly with the soil on the surface of the flowerpot. Stop fertilizing in autumn. If you want it to bloom all year round, you should prune it frequently and add fertilizer. When replacing the old soil in the pot in spring, you should also use appropriate base fertilizer to make the soil more suitable for plant survival.
