How to identify Guanshan cherry

1. Appearance

The Guanshan cherry blossoms and leaves bloom at the same time. It is a small tree with an average height of about 2.5 meters. It has many branches, and the twigs are all curved upward. The young leaves are tea brown, the leaves are purple-brown in spring, and the leaves are orange-yellow in autumn, similar to ginkgo leaves, and are very beautiful.

2. Flowers

There are many flowers in Guanshan cherry blossoms, with umbels of about 6 cm in diameter. The overall color is pink, the buds are red, there are about 33-35 petals, about 1-2 pistils, and there is leafization. The filaments are short and few, the calyx is tubular, hairless, purple-brown in color, and the pedicels are thick and very long. There are about 1-3 small flowers in a bunch.

The flowering period is from late March to early April.
