The difference between yellow woodruff and jasmine

1. Difference in appearance

The yellow wood fragrance flower is a small climbing shrub that can reach a height of 6 meters. The twigs are cylindrical with small prickles. The prickles on old branches are large and hard.

Jasmine is also a climbing shrub, but it is much shorter than the former, about 3 meters high, with cylindrical or slightly flattened branches covered with soft hairs.

2. Difference of blades

The leaves of yellow wood fragrance are oblong-lanceolate or elliptical-ovate, with an acute or slightly obtuse tip, a nearly circular base, and serrated edges.

Jasmine leaves are round, ovate-elliptical, elliptical or obovate, wider than the former, with rounded or obtuse ends, slightly cordate base, and entire margins without serrations.

3. The difference between flowers

The flowers of yellow osmanthus are umbels, the flowers are very small, the color is single, and they are double yellow petals.

Jasmine has a cyme inflorescence, and the flowers are much larger than the former, with a variety of colors, the most common of which is white.
