Is Clematis easy to grow?

Is Clematis easy to grow?

1. Difficulty of Planting

Because it has many requirements for the growth environment, it is relatively difficult to cultivate, but as long as it is carefully cared for, it will grow well.

2. Planting points

1. Soil: It is suitable for growing in neutral or alkaline soil. You can mix coconut bran, garden soil and perlite in a ratio of 3:3:4. Coconut coir has good water permeability, and garden soil is rich in nutrients and has good air permeability. The soil prepared in this way is more in line with the growth habits, so it will grow well.

2. Watering: Its roots are fleshy, which are not tolerant to waterlogging and are prone to rot, so watering should be done scientifically according to its characteristics. The temperature is high in summer and water evaporates quickly, so water the plants about three times a week. In winter, the temperature is relatively low, so watering once a week is enough. The air humidity is low in winter, so you should spray the air with water mist to increase the humidity.

3. Light: When growing it, you must ensure sufficient light. You can place it in a balcony or other place where it can get sunlight. When the sun is strong at noon, you need to provide appropriate shade.

4. Fertilization: It grows relatively fast and consumes nutrients quickly, so it needs to be fertilized during its growing period and before flowering. Fertilizer can be applied with fermented rice water or diluted beer water. These two natural fertilizers are rich in nutrients, have little stimulation to the plants, and are suitable for this type of plants.
