Cultivation methods and precautions of rowan

1. Maintenance methods

1. Soil: It absorbs nutrients quickly, so try to use fertile soil to grow it. Before planting, you need to mix base fertilizer into the soil. The base fertilizer can be fertilizer cake or farmyard manure.

2. Watering: Water conditions are particularly important for the growth of plants. If the seedlings are sown in autumn, if it does not rain by April of the following year, the soil will dry and peel off, and it will need to be watered artificially. The frequency of watering is once a week. If it is a plant maintained at home, it also needs to be watered once a week.

3. Fertilization: Fertilization should adopt the principle of "small amount and frequent times". During the growing period, fertilizer is needed once a month. Urea or diammonium phosphate should be used as fertilizer. Fertilization should be done after rain or after irrigation. After August, potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution should be used and sprayed. Generally, it is done once every ten days, and two sprays are enough. The purpose is to promote plant lignification, which can increase the plant's ability to survive the winter.

4. Light: It likes shade or sunshine, and cannot be exposed to direct sunlight. It needs to be exposed to diffuse light. When planted in the field, it should be kept on the shady side away from the sun.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Reproduction: It can be propagated by sowing. Treat the seeds with cold and wet conditions, because the seeds will stop germinating if the temperature exceeds five degrees. Therefore, the best time to treat the seeds is four months before sowing. Soak the seeds in 40-degree water for a day, disinfect them with potassium permanganate, clean them, and then mix them with sand in a ratio of 1:3 and place them at a temperature below 5 degrees. Turn them over frequently, and they will germinate in about 70 days. After germination, you can sow the seeds. Just sow the germinated seeds into the soil.

2. Pruning: During its growth process, branches and leaves may rot. Just cut off the problematic branches.

3. Problem Diagnosis

1. Pests: Spider mites, also known as red spider mites, are a type of pest that plants are more easily infected with. Red spider mites will suck juice from the back of the leaves of the plant, causing small white spots to appear on the leaves of the plant, and in severe cases, the leaves will fall off. If found, it needs to be sprayed with a diluted solution of dimethoate emulsion.

2. Pathology: White rot can harm the base of the plant and cause rot at the base of the plant. After the plant is infected, it needs to be sprayed with carbendazim wettable powder.

IV. Other issues

1. Edibility: It is edible.

2. Toxicity: non-toxic.
