1. Different varieties

The Brazilian iris is a type of iris, so the plants have similar appearances and have many aliases, such as jade butterfly, horse butterfly flower, etc. This variety has a very strong adaptability to the environment.

The iris plant naturally includes the aforementioned varieties. It is also called flat bamboo flower, roof iris, blue butterfly, black iris, etc. In addition to this variety, there are many other varieties.

2. Different leaves

The leaves of the Brazilian iris grow out from the rhizome at the base and grow in a fan-shaped arrangement. The leaves are about 2 cm wide and dark green in color.

The leaves of iris are quite wide, about 1.5-3.5 cm wide, slightly wider in the middle. The leaves are yellow-green in color, which is lighter in color.

3. Different flowers

The flower of the Brazilian iris has 6 petals, 3 of which are turned outward and are white in color with reddish-brown spots at the base, and the other 3 upright petals are bluish-purple in color with white lines on them. Its flowering period is very short. It blooms in the morning and withers around 3 pm.

The petals of the iris are blue-purple in color.
