1. Different plant typesThe plant of Podocarpus is relatively short and thin, with a maximum height of about 20m and a diameter of about 60cm. The outer bark has shallow longitudinal cracks that fall off in thin flakes. Some of the branches are flat, while others are slanted. The golden pine plant is relatively tall, reaching a height of about 40m and a diameter of about 1.7m. The outer bark is relatively rough and cracked into irregular scales. 2. Different leavesThe leaves of the former are spirally arranged, linear-lanceolate, slightly curved, about 7-12cm long, and 7-10mm wide. The leaves are dark green on the upper side and gray-green or light green underneath. The latter has strip-shaped leaves, about 2-5.5cm long and 1.5-4mm wide, green on the top and blue-green on the bottom. 3. Different flowersThe former has clustered flowers that are off-white in color, while the female cones are solitary in the leaf axils. The latter's male flowers are cylindrical and yellow in color, while the female flowers are upright and purple-red in color. |
