Bougainvillea maintenance and management methods, why does it fall after a few days of blooming?

Bougainvillea maintenance and management methods, why does it fall after a few days of blooming?

1. Maintenance and management methods

1. Light: Bougainvillea likes sunlight very much, so it needs to be given more sunlight when caring for it. It can be placed in the sun in spring, autumn, and winter. But because the light in summer is too strong, it needs some shade. In addition, there should be slight ventilation. If the breeding environment is too hot and stuffy, it is easy to be infected with diseases.

2. Water: Bougainvillea is a water-loving plant. When cultivating it, it should be kept in a slightly moist soil. Do not water it too much. When it is first planted, it needs to be watered thoroughly, and there should be no accumulation of water at any time.

3. Pruning: Pruning should be carried out in spring. The messy, dry and dense branches should be cut off. Pruning can promote the growth of new branches of the plant. It should also be pruned after it blooms, and the remaining flowers should be pruned off.

4. Temperature: It is suitable for growing in a high temperature environment, and the maintenance temperature needs to be controlled at 20-30℃. In summer, the temperature should not exceed 35℃. If the temperature is too high, its growth will be affected. During the winter, it needs to be kept in a warm environment with the temperature above 15℃.

2. Why does it fall after a few days of blooming?

Generally speaking, if bougainvillea falls off after a few days of flowering, it is mostly caused by improper maintenance and management. Do not water it too much, and do not pour water on the flowers, otherwise they will rot and fall off. Another reason is that if the light intensity does not meet the requirements for flowering, its growth conditions will be poor and the flowers will fall off.
