How to water Rainbow Jade

How to water Rainbow Jade

When to water

When watering, you should base it on the growth of the plant. Generally, the water requirement is relatively high during the period of vigorous growth or bud formation, so you can increase the watering frequency appropriately. When the rainbow jade is in a dormant period and its growth is basically stagnant, it should be watered less frequently.

In addition, when watering, you should also consider the temperature, air humidity, ventilation conditions of the greenhouse, the size and material of the pot, and determine whether the soil in the pot is lacking water before watering.

Watering time

The best time for watering is in the morning in summer, in the morning on a sunny day in winter, and in the morning and evening in spring and autumn.

When watering, make sure the soil is completely dry and water should not accumulate, nor should it be too dry. Stop watering when it is rainy or the temperature drops suddenly.

Watering method

Rainbow Jade grows relatively slowly and does not require large amounts of water or fertilizer. It is generally watered 1 to 2 times a week.

In the rainy summer, pay attention to controlling the amount of watering to avoid the plants being exposed to rain for a long time and water accumulation in the potting soil. Move the plants indoors in time when the temperature drops in winter, and reduce the amount and frequency of watering.

After the old plants have become branched and dry for many years, you must pay attention to the amount of watering, as too much water will cause the branches to rot.

When the leaves of the rainbow jade turn magenta, it means that the plant is short of water. At this time, you must replenish water in time and water it thoroughly.
