Tips for buying flower seedlings - five types of flower seedlings not to buy

Don’t buy seedlings that have just been potted

When you buy flowers that have just been potted, if you see new soil in the pot and the stem moves when you pull it upwards, then the flowers have probably been potted very recently and have not yet grown new roots. Such flowers are easy to wither after buying.

Don't buy two or more flower seedlings planted together.

If you plant two or more plants of this kind of flower together, the branches and leaves that grow will gradually become thinner and yellow, and the flowers will become smaller and smaller. The reason is insufficient nutrition and too many roots in the pot, which easily causes the plant to become compacted. Of course, special combination potted plants are not included.

Don't buy seedlings with roots but no stems or leaves.

Some individual vendors go up the mountain in autumn and winter to dig up wild vines and tree roots and sell them as flowers and trees. Because they have no stems or leaves, they are difficult to identify.

Use thin wire to tie the branches and leaves into various shapes of flowers

This kind of potted flower looks good at the beginning, but over time, as the plant grows, its shape will change. Moreover, tying up all the branches and leaves of the plant at the same time not only affects photosynthesis, but also makes it easy for diseases and pests to occur.

Cacti with small frost spots on stems or bulbs

Cacti that overwinter are very susceptible to mild frostbite, with light green frost spots smaller than rice grains appearing on the stems or bulbs. Although there may be no problem on the surface, the internal tissues of the plant have actually been severely damaged. If no measures are taken after purchasing such flowers, the spots will become larger and larger, and eventually the entire plant will die.
