How to grow bamboo indoors

Planting time

The best time to transplant or pot bamboo is in early spring or August or September in autumn.

Transplantation process

When transplanting, be sure to keep the soil at the roots of the young plants. You can also dig out the bamboo stems from the soil and plant them. If transplanted in early spring, they will sprout around April. When transplanting, you should not only pay attention to retaining the soil at the roots, but also pay attention to fertilization. It is best to use dry chicken manure as base fertilizer. After planting, water the bamboo, apply enough water, and place it in a cool place.

When winter comes, you should add some soil and base fertilizer to the roots of the bamboo to make the plant more nutritionally adequate, so that it can grow better and promote the growth and renewal of the bamboo.

Things to note after planting

Bamboo likes cool places, so it is best to place the bamboo potted plants under the shade of trees or under curtains. Never expose them to the sun. If they are exposed to direct sunlight, the bamboo leaves will dry out.

Bamboo does not have high requirements for water. It needs to be kept moist in spring and autumn, watered more in summer, and not watered too much in winter. What flower lovers need to pay attention to is that water must not be accumulated. If water accumulates, the bamboo roots may rot.
