How to breed Huoxuedan

It is relatively easy to propagate the wormwood because its creeping stems take root at each node, so the commonly used propagation methods are division, cutting, and layering.

Division

In spring and autumn, cut off the branches with adventitious roots and plant them directly.

Cuttings

Cuttings are carried out in March and April every spring when the temperature reaches above 15℃. Cut the runners as cuttings, with each section having three to four nodes and a length of about 15 to 20 cm. Do you use ridges for cuttings, or make your own nursery bed for cuttings, and plant the cuttings on the prepared soil at a distance of about 10 cm between plants. Insert the cuttings 2-3 nodes into the soil, then cover with a thin layer of soil and water with an appropriate amount of water. The cuttings will take root and survive about a week after being grafted.

The propagation of dandelion can be carried out by sowing and creeping stem cuttings. However, because its seeds are very small and difficult to collect, and the seedlings grow very slowly, cuttings are often used for propagation.
