How to fertilize Viburnum

How to fertilize Viburnum

Fertilization method of Viburnum

The growth of the magnolia is very strong and its branches and leaves are lush, so it cannot be left without fertilizer for a long time. During the peak growing season, fertilizer can be applied every 10 days, and the concentration should be light rather than strong. Top dressing should be done after flowering, because a large amount of nutrients are needed during flowering. If sufficient nutrients are not supplied after the flowers fade, it will affect its growth and fruit formation.

Fertilization precautions for Viburnum

Its fertilization should follow the principle of alternating dry and wet conditions, which means that fertilizer can be applied when the upper layer of the soil is relatively dry. If the upper layer of the soil is still moist, fertilization should be suspended. Therefore, in daily breeding, try to formulate a simple management plan and combine watering and fertilizing reasonably.

If the temperature reaches above 30 degrees in summer, you must stop fertilizing. At this time, it will go into hibernation. Even if you apply more fertilizer, it will not absorb it. Instead, the fertilizer will accumulate, causing fertilizer damage and harming the plants.

In winter, the number of fertilizations should be reduced.

If the leaves turn yellow, you can spray fertilizer on the leaves to alleviate this symptom.

If it is the rainy season, you should reduce the amount of fertilization appropriately or postpone it.

The magnolia is particularly prone to growing too tall. Even if you fertilize it normally, it may still grow too tall unexpectedly, so friends don't need to panic. Just prune it appropriately.
