Cultivation methods and precautions of Pingfeng grass

Cultivation methods and precautions of Pingfeng grass

1. The characteristics of this plant

First of all, it has temperature requirements - warmer conditions. The suitable temperature range for its growth is between fifteen and thirty-two degrees. If the temperature is below twelve degrees, it will stop growing. The temperature in winter must be maintained between zero and five degrees to ensure that it can safely survive the winter. Then there is sunlight, it likes plenty of light. Next is the soil. Its several requirements for soil quality will be introduced in detail below.

2. Specific methods

1. Temperature

Let’s talk about winter first. If it is an area south of the Yangtze River, then basically no special measures are needed. However, if it is planted in areas north of the Yangtze River, that is, in the north, then specific cold-proof measures need to be taken. However, the temperature cannot be too high, otherwise, its leaves will easily rot.

Light: Except when the light is particularly strong, there is no need to block light at other times.

2. Soil

First of all, the soil should contain more nutrients, that is, be more fertile. Besides, slightly sticky soil is better. There is also a requirement for pH. Soil with a pH value of 5.5 to 7.5 is more suitable for it. If it is chosen well, the color of its flowers will be brighter, the flowering period will be longer, and the growth will be vigorous, so we must pay attention to it.

3. Notes

Generally speaking, we will choose to use a tank or a pond to grow this kind of plant, so there are some requirements for their size. If it is a tank, it is 65 cm high and has an inner diameter of about 65 to 80 cm; if it is a pool, it is one to two meters in diameter and about 0.6 meters deep.
