How to raise the Weeping Guanyin

How to raise the Weeping Guanyin

1. Breeding environment

1. Soil: Loose and fertile soil is best. You can use leaf mold, peat soil or fine sand for potting.

2. Watering: In summer, the amount of watering should be sufficient, and the potting soil should be kept in a semi-dry and semi-wet state. If the amount of watering is too large and water accumulates, it will cause the stems to rot. During the growing period, spray water all around frequently to increase the air humidity and keep the soil in the pot moist.

3. Light: It can receive appropriate light in winter, and it is best to place it in a cool environment in other seasons. It can also receive appropriate light when it blooms.

4. Temperature: The suitable growth temperature for the weeping angel is 20-25℃. It is best to keep the temperature above 8℃ in winter. If the temperature is lower, the leaves will turn yellow.

2. Breeding Methods

The general methods of reproduction are sowing and division. After the fruit is ripe, the seeds will be dried and preserved, and then sown in the spring of the following year.

For division propagation, cut off the small plants that sprout from the base of the plant with their roots, plant them directly in the potting soil, and water them appropriately to keep them moist.

3. Common pests and diseases

1. Common diseases: leaf spot, anthracnose, wilt, etc., should be sprayed with pesticides in time after discovery to avoid serious conditions that may lead to the death of the entire plant.

2. Red spider mites: Red spider mites are generally found on the back of leaves. They not only affect their normal growth, but also spread many viruses. Therefore, they should be checked regularly and treated in time if found.
