How to grow dahlia well

Growing conditions of jasmine

The jasmine flower likes a growing environment with warm winters and cool summers. The most suitable temperature for growth is between 15 and 20 degrees. The lowest temperature in winter should not be lower than 8 degrees, otherwise it will affect flowering. When the temperature exceeds 30 degrees in summer, it will enter a semi-dormant state. Its growing environment must have good light, and strong light should be blocked in summer.

How to grow dahlia

To grow jasmine, you must first prepare a slightly acidic soil suitable for its growth, place it in a sunny place for maintenance, water it regularly, fertilize it reasonably, and perform a major pruning after each flowering period.

Watering the gerbera

It likes a humid growing environment, so it needs frequent watering. During the peak growth period in spring and autumn, you can water it once in the morning and afternoon every day. In summer, water it once in the morning and evening. Do not water it during the thunderstorm season. In winter, you can reduce watering to once a week.

Fertilizing jasmine flowers

Spring and autumn are the peak growth periods of Indian jasmine, and it blooms continuously, requiring a large amount of fertilizer. Apply decomposed cake fertilizer water once a week, but it is important to stop fertilizing in summer and winter.

Disease and pest control of jasmine

Geraniums may be infected with leaf spot disease, so ensure good ventilation and light transmission during planting. Diseased branches and leaves should be cut off and destroyed in time. Bordeaux mixture should be sprayed every two weeks. Gray mold may also occur, so the diseased leaves and flowers need to be removed in time. When the disease first occurs, you can spray chlorothalonil. It may also be infected with whiteflies, which can be prevented and controlled by spraying chrysanthemum emulsion or chlorcyanine zinc emulsion.

How to grow jasmine at home

1. Pot soil

When choosing to grow jasmine, you can first prepare a clay pot as a flowerpot, which can remove the alkalinity of the soil and has good drainage. Secondly, you should choose sandy soil that is loose, fertile, breathable, well-drained, and rich in organic matter.

2. Water and fertilizer

The gerbera cannot be too moist, so it is more appropriate to keep the soil in the pot semi-dry. Spring and autumn are the growing seasons, and you can water it once every three days. In other seasons, you can decide whether to water it less or more depending on whether the plant's surface is shiny. During the growing season, you can apply a thin layer of cake fertilizer water every other week to promote the growth of the plant.

3. Lighting

The gerbera loves light and is best grown in a well-lit place. In spring and autumn, when the light is not too strong, it can receive full-day sunlight. In summer, the gerbera is generally in a semi-dormant or dormant state, so pay more attention to shading to allow it to safely spend the summer.

Matters Needing Attention in the Maintenance of Tianzhu Flowers

It is important to note that gerbera likes a warm growing environment and is generally suitable for growing around 15-25 degrees Celsius. It is not cold-resistant in winter, and the ambient temperature must be controlled at least above 5 degrees Celsius.
