Grapefruit growth environment conditions and requirements

Pomelo is a very common fruit. It generally prefers to grow in warm, humid and well-lit places. It has a long history of cultivation and is grown in Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Guangxi, Taiwan, Fujian, Hunan, Hubei and Sichuan.

Grapefruit growth temperature

The most suitable growth temperature for grapefruit is within the range of 23-29 degrees, among which the best temperature for grapefruit growth is around 18 degrees. Grapefruit has a certain degree of cold resistance and can usually withstand the lowest temperature of the environment at around 0 degrees. When the temperature of the environment is below minus 3 degrees or 5 degrees, the grapefruit will freeze to death.

Grapefruit growth humidity

Pomelo likes a humid environment and has a relatively developed root system. Generally, during the growth and maintenance process, the most suitable environmental humidity is around 75%, among which the soil humidity is best between 60%-80%. When the humidity is lower than 40%, pomelo will show symptoms of water shortage.

Grapefruit growing soil

Pomelo has strong adaptability and is generally not very demanding on the soil during planting and growth. It is more suitable for planting in deep, well-drained soil. Generally, the soil containing more organic matter is best.

Grapefruit growth cycle and process

Pomelo is usually planted in March in spring or November in autumn. Generally, the pomelo will bloom in April or May of the second year of maintenance, and then bear fruit in October of the third year of planting. In the next two years, the pomelo will produce more and more fruits.
