Schisandra chinensis is a traditional Chinese medicinal material with nourishing and strengthening effects. It generally grows in valleys, streams or hillsides at an altitude of 1.2-1.7 kilometers. It likes a warm and humid environment and is widely distributed in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Hebei, Shanxi and Ningxia.

Schisandra growth temperature

The most suitable growth temperature for Schisandra chinensis is within the range of 25-28 degrees. Generally, wild Schisandra chinensis will grow around trees. Schisandra chinensis has a certain degree of cold resistance, but is afraid of freezing. When the ambient temperature is around zero degrees, the Schisandra chinensis plants will be frozen.

Schisandra growth humidity

Schisandra chinensis likes a humid environment and is relatively water-loving. Generally, during the seedling stage and flowering and fruiting stage of Schisandra chinensis, the requirements for water and humidity are relatively high. It needs to be watered frequently. When watering, be careful not to water too much, just water it thoroughly once.

Schisandra chinensis likes fertilizer. Generally, it is more suitable to be planted in sandy loam that is deep, fertile, loose and well-drained. In addition, the soil for planting should also contain humus, and the acidity of the soil should be slightly acidic.

Schisandra chinensis is a precious traditional Chinese medicine. It is usually sown in May and June in spring, or in August and September in autumn. Usually, Schisandra chinensis will bloom in May to July every year, and the fruit will mature in July to October.
