The propagation of Jadeite by cuttings is generally chosen at the turn of spring and summer. Choose leaves with petioles and insert them into moist sand. Roots will grow in about 20 days. You can also choose strong branches at the top, 10 cm long, with 3 or 5 leaves, and insert them directly into the sand bed. Keep it moist. It will take root in about 20 days, and can be potted when the roots are 3 to 4 cm long.

Jade leaf cuttings propagation

The propagation time of Jadeite leaf cuttings is from May to June. Cut mature and strong leaves with petioles about 1 cm long. The substrate should be sterilized vermiculite or river sand. Maintain a certain humidity and semi-shady environment. Under 20℃-25℃ conditions, it can take root in half a month. If IBA treatment is used, it can promote rooting and the formation of adventitious roots. Small plants will grow in 30 days and can be potted when they have 4-5 leaves.
