Sugarcane is usually planted in spring or autumn every year, but it is generally planted in February to April in spring because the climate at that time is more suitable for growth. The growth rate will be faster after planting, while the growth rate will be slower in autumn.

Sugarcane Planting Methods

The methods of planting sugarcane mainly include: material selection and processing, early preparation of the cultivation bed, cultivation, late preparation of the cultivation bed, forest land planting, and late maintenance and care.

1. Preliminary preparation of the cultivation bed : When planting sugarcane, it is necessary to select and process the cultivation soil. The scapular cultivation soil needs to be spread on the surface into a cultivation bed with a depth of 15-25 cm, and sprayed with mancozeb solution, and then the soil is turned over.

2. Cultivation : When sugarcane is arranged, it usually means that the processed sugarcane stalks are inserted into the prepared cultivation bed at a distance of 12 cm between plants and 90 cm between rows.

3. Planting in forest land : When sugarcane is planted in forest land, it includes the migration of young plants and forest land management. The migration of young plants is after 10-12 months, when the cultivated young plants are taken out from the cultivation bed together with the root system. After taking them out, the roots are washed with clean water, the blackened and rotten roots are cut off, and then the soil is turned over.

4. Post-maintenance and care : After the sugarcane is planted, the forest needs to be watered, loosened, weeded and fertilized regularly, including covering the planted forest with a shade net. Organic fertilizer and compound fertilizer are usually applied when fertilizing.
