Rapeseed Growing Conditions

Rapeseed is generally more suitable for growing in a cool environment. It is a short-day crop and does not require very much light. In order to grow better, it can receive different degrees of light at different growth stages. Generally, rapeseed is grown more in Anhui, Henan, Sichuan and other places.

Rapeseed has different temperature requirements at different growth stages. Generally, the most suitable growth temperature for rapeseed is around 20-25 degrees. It is very cold-resistant and not afraid of freezing. It can generally withstand temperatures as low as minus 3 degrees.

Rapeseed Growth Period and Process

Rapeseed is planted more in spring and autumn. Generally, the growth cycle of rapeseed planted in spring is about 60-130 days, while the growth cycle of rapeseed planted in winter is much longer, generally taking 4-10 months.

When growing, rapeseed goes through several stages: germination, seedling, flowering and maturity. Among them, the seedling stage is the longest, occupying most of the entire growth cycle. During the flowering stage, rapeseed grows most vigorously.

Rapeseed Planting Process and Methods

1. Soil treatment: Deeply plow the soil, then turn it over and expose it to the sun for disinfection, which can reduce the occurrence of diseases and pests.

2. Seed selection: Select high-quality, healthy, plump and scratch-free seeds for planting, and the seeds should be of uniform size.

3. Germination and planting: Soak the seeds in warm water for 2 hours, then take out and dry them, then you can plant them.
