In the past, millet production was relatively low and the economic benefits were not high. Now the price of millet in the market is relatively high, ranging from 1.4 to 1.5 yuan per catty. The income per mu of millet planting is more than 1,000 yuan.

Millet planting methods and technical points

When the ambient temperature is above 10 degrees, millet can be sown. It can be sown by broadcasting, spot sowing, seedling raising and transplanting. The seeds can be soaked in water for 1-2 days before sowing, or soaked until they germinate and then sown. For broadcasting, the seeds can be evenly spread on the soil surface, and the topsoil can be gently dug to cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil, then watered to moisten them. When the seedlings grow to 10 cm, thinning should be carried out once.
