Four-season ginseng generally grows in areas with an annual precipitation of more than 500 mm. Its main production area is in my country's Northeast region. In addition, it is also grown in eastern Liaoning, the eastern half of Jilin, eastern Heilongjiang, Hebei, Shanxi and Shandong.

Four-season ginseng is suitable for growing in black soil, and the soil moisture content is usually around 75%. In addition, it prefers strong light during its growth process, and its growth cycle is generally 6 years.

Growth rate of four seasons ginseng

The growth and development process of four-season ginseng can be divided into five stages, namely the seed ripening stage, the vegetative growth stage, the reproductive growth stage, the root growth stage and the root dormancy stage.

The growth rate of four-season ginseng is relatively slow. It usually takes 20-21 months for it to germinate after sowing. The seedlings can be transplanted after 2-4 years of growth, and the seeds can be kept after five years of planting.

Management of the growth cycle of four-season ginseng

Temperature : Four-season ginseng is relatively sensitive to temperature. Usually, the suitable temperature for germination is 15℃, the suitable temperature for growth during the flowering and fruiting period is between 16-25℃, the temperature changes between 20-28℃ before and after the fruit turns red and ripens, and it stops growing when the temperature is 8-10℃. The optimum temperature during the reproductive period is 20-25℃.

Fertilization : The fertilizers for four-season ginseng mainly include base fertilizer and top dressing. Its base fertilizer is mainly organic fertilizer, and when applying top dressing, it is best to apply some decomposed organic fertilizer mainly composed of nitrogen fertilizer, which can promote its growth.
