How often should cotton be watered?

Cotton is a plant that does not require much water and has excellent drought resistance. As long as there is enough water, it can maintain normal growth. However, if it is watered too much, it will be prone to disease and breeding of pests.

We only need to water the plants once a week on a normal day. In summer, we can increase the watering time to once every three or four days. When watering, you can choose tap water or settled river water.

How to water cotton

1. Check the soil : When watering cotton, pay attention to whether the soil is moist. If the soil is still moist, do not water it.

2. Seasonal temperature : The moisture in cotton soil is mainly lost by air evaporation, so you should water it more appropriately in the summer when the temperature is high.

Cotton watering precautions

1. Reduce the amount of water : Cotton is drought-resistant but not moisture-resistant. Excessive watering will cause the soil to have too much moisture, making the plant more susceptible to insect pests.

2. Increase the amount of water in summer : In summer, water often evaporates due to high temperatures. If the soil is too dry, it is necessary to replenish water in time.

What to do if cotton is overwatered

1. Changing the soil : Cotton is very intolerant of moisture. If you water it too much and the plant cannot breathe, directly changing the soil is the most efficient way.

2. Increase the temperature : Place the plants outdoors and use high temperatures to evaporate excess water.
