The second-level tea-growing areas are divided by tea-producing provinces for production guidance within the provinces. The third-level tea-growing areas are called "seeds", which refer to varieties or strains.

The germination period of tea trees is determined by the first round of nutrient buds, which are divided into early bud, middle bud and late bud. Its tree age can reach one or two hundred years, but the economic age is 40-50 years.

Tea tree growth rate

Tea trees are divided into seedling stage, juvenile stage, adult stage and aging stage. They can be harvested in small quantities about 3 years after planting, reach peak production period 10 years after planting, and begin to age after 30 years.

Tea tree growth cycle management

Temperature management: Tea trees like to grow in a warm environment. They sprout when the average temperature is above 10℃. The optimum temperature for their growth is between 20-25℃. The annual precipitation should be above 1000mm. They like light and tolerate shade, and are suitable for growth under diffuse light.

Fertilization management: In the annual growth cycle of tea trees, the demand for nutrients shows obvious stages. The seedlings respond quickly and urgently to nitrogen and phosphorus. After entering the harvest period, the demand for various nutrients is the largest. Timely and sufficient nutrient supply during this period is conducive to high and stable yields.
