Morel, also known as morel, belongs to the order Morchellales, family Morchellaceae, and genus Morchella. It is one of the very precious and rare edible fungi. Morels have seeds, which are obtained by spore separation and cloning methods.

After harvesting morels, you need to clean the dirt on them, then dry them in the sun or oven, and seal them in plastic bags for storage. Morel seeds cannot be preserved for a long time and need to be sterilized.

You can keep seeds for morels yourself, but you need experienced people and current special technology to obtain the seeds. The seeds are obtained by spore separation and cloning methods, which are difficult to collect.

Morel Seed Planting

Morels grow most easily in spring and autumn every year. They require a large temperature difference, with the temperature at around 20 degrees and the humidity at around 70 percent. Weak light is conducive to the growth of morels.

Morel seeds require ingredients. You should make full use of the resources around you. You can use humus, corn cobs, sawdust, bran, gypsum, wood ash, etc., mix them in a certain proportion, and after the materials are mixed, put them in plastic and then take them out of the bag for outdoor cultivation.

Choose a place with scattered light, the soil should be loose, fertile and well-drained, then dig a hole 20-25 cm wide and deep. After preparation, you can water it less, use lime water to kill pests, spread a layer of ingredients at the bottom of the pit, put 4-5 cm of mushroom mat on it, then spread the second layer, and sow in the same way.
