How to grow Amaryllis so that it blooms

If amaryllis is properly cared for, it can bloom twice a year. The first time is from April to June, and the second time is in winter. Its flowering period is relatively short, only about 10 days after flowering. If the growing environment is more suitable, it can be extended to 15 days.

How to grow and bloom Amaryllis

1. Water : When watering Amaryllis, be sure to water it thoroughly, and do not add too much water, otherwise it will cause the bulb to rot and be unable to bloom. When caring for it indoors, you need to sprinkle water on the leaves appropriately to maintain a moist growing environment.

2. Light : Amaryllis has a relatively high demand for light, so it must be kept in a place with sufficient sunlight. Especially after the flower buds grow, sufficient light can allow it to bloom brighter flowers and more flowers.

3. Fertilizer : When fertilizing Amaryllis, you need to apply thin fertilizer and do it multiple times. Sufficient fertilizer can make it bloom. However, you can reduce the amount of fertilizer appropriately during the flowering period, otherwise it will cause excess nutrition and be unfavorable for growth.

4. Flowerpot : When caring for Amaryllis, it is best to use a ceramic pot with good air permeability. The pot should not be too large, and should be about the same size as the plant. Otherwise, water will accumulate and easily cause root rot.
