Raw melons are generally planted in spring from March to April, or in autumn from August to September. Their seeds will only germinate in a warm environment. The climate and temperature in these two time periods are most suitable and more conducive to seed germination.

1. Process the land: In order to promote better growth of melons, it is best to choose a place with sufficient light and convenient drainage for planting. In order to improve the fertility of the land, it is necessary to apply some farmyard manure in advance and plow the land.

2. Seed germination: When sowing melons, you need to select seeds with full grains and soak them in water for about 24 hours to allow the seeds to absorb enough water, which is more conducive to germination.

3. Sowing in the soil: When sowing melon seeds, you can directly adopt the direct sowing method. There can be 3-4 seeds in each hole. After sowing, you need to cover with a thin layer of soil and spray water appropriately.

Things to note when growing melons

When the melon is growing in the seedling stage, it needs a lot of fertilizer and water. Therefore, in order to promote its vigorous growth, it is best to apply top dressing every two weeks. You can use decomposed organic fertilizer, and regularly pinch and top the plants, so that they can grow and develop better.
